Title: quick question Post by: tbone36109 on August 10, 2004, 12:01 PM not sure, when i saw him the resonant was a coated head it looked like. I think i saw the orange county logo on it so im guessing it whatever one they normally ship out. It had three snap-lock port holes one it. Thats all I can remeber though, so it probably doesnt help. O yeah and he had alot of click from his bass drum he had to use used a click pad cause that was more than just a plastic beater or anything.

Title: Re:quick question Post by: Joe on August 10, 2004, 01:58 PM According to the February 2004 issue of Modern Drummer1, Travis Barker uses Remo smooth white PowerStroke 3 drumheads on both batter and resonant sides of the bass drum. No details are given as to his use of Holz or somesuch, but photographs in the article reveal the use of at least two on the 4-and-8 -o'clock portions of the drumhead.
Bass drum heads, both good and bad ones, are quite ubiquitous at many retailers both online and brick-and-mortar: Musician's Friend, Sam Ash (both previously cited), Guitar Center, and et cetera with other online dealers and local shops. 1. This information is effectively almost a year old; it could well be that he's moved on to Emperors by this time (per nitro101's suggestion). |
