Sorry if this has been discussed before.  I did a search and found lots of info about building a riser but nothing about where to buy one that's already built.

My band is looking to buy one.  We have a large box truck that we haul our gear in so size really isn't an issue.  We're looking for one that is easy to fold up and (hopefully) roll back onto the truck.  Nothing excessive, maybe 1 or 2 feet off the ground.  

I've tried all the music stores online with no luck.  Has anyone ever bought one, and if so, where did you buy it from?

You might want to check out a school or church supply place OL and check for choir risers.  They are usually an 8x8 folding patform, about 8-12" off the ground.

Try this link. It's made by a local guy here in Baltimore, I think, and lot of local guys use them. Probably the most portable riser available...

Wow, that's pretty much EXACTLY what we're looking for.  I like the fact that's it's made by a gigging drummer.  Just sent the link to my bandleader.
