Title: REMO presents ... The Drummer’s Night

Ever wondered who played the drums behind many a gold or platinum disc? The Remo Drummer’s Night will provide you with the answers.

In association with the major drum and cymbal companies, Remo presents Drummer’s Night at the London International Music Show, ExCel, Docklands on Saturday, 14th June 2008 in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Diplomats of the Drumming world will gather to celebrate the many millions of hits that the collection of drumming Ambassadors has achieved over the years. The world-class players will be supported by a band of leading session musicians, with Karl Brazil acting as Musical Director for the evening.

Giving their time and amazing ‘chops” to a very worthy cause are Karl Brazil, (James Blunt), Pete Ray Biggin (Mark Ronson), Jason Bould, Geoff Dugmore, Carlos Hercules (George Michael), Ian Matthews (Kasabian), Cherisse Osei (Mica), Ralph Salmins, Mark Schulman (Cher, Pink), Andrew Small (Kylie Minogue), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Paul Stewart (The Feeling), Ian Thomas (Eric Clapton), Steve White (Paul Weller) & Neil Wilkinson (Van Morrison). 

More legendary artists will be added, depending on commitments. The show will also open with Pete Lockett & Fergus Gerrand with the ICM drummers.

Drum wise this night promises to be the Drummer Night of the year.

The event is supported by the drum companies DW, Gretsch, Mapex, Pearl, Premier, Sonor, Tama, Yamaha and the cymbal companies Meinl, Paiste, Sabian, Zildjian for one night in support of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Title: Announcing new artists at the Remo “The Drummer’s Night”

The already impressive line-up of drummers playing the historic Remo Drummer's Night now includes Trevor Lawrence Jr (Alicia Keys), Simon Hanson (Squeeze), and the drumming legend Andy Newmark (Sly & the Family Stone to the Lion King).

The remarkable line-up of drummers will combine for one night only with the House Band, which includes players from James Blunt’s band with Karl Brazil the Musical Director for the evening.

The full line-up giving their time and amazing ‘chops” to a very worthy cause are

Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Mark Schulman (Cher, Pink), Steve White (Paul Weller), Paul Stewart (The Feeling), Ian Matthews (Kasabian), Andrew Small (Kylie Minogue),  Cherisse Osei (Mika),  Neil Wilkinson (Van Morrison), Jason Bould (Pitchshifter), Jerry Brown (Girls Aloud), Geoff Dugmore, Ralph SalminsTrevor Lawrence Jr (Alicia Keys), Simon Hanson (Squeeze), Andy Newmark, and Karl Brazil (James Blunt).

More legendary artists will be added, depending on commitments. The show will also open with Pete Lockett & Fergus Gerrand with the ICM drummers. MC for the night will be Ian Danter (Talk Sport radio).  There will be some very special guests as well !
