Title: Where is Mr. A? Post by: felix on May 13, 2008, 07:04 AM Hi Keith. Are you doing okay? Miss you.
Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: felix on May 13, 2008, 08:15 AM Ok, I'm an airhead. I see you have been logging in. Back to our regularly scheduled program.
Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: David Aldridge on May 13, 2008, 11:22 AM Is Felix missing his blankie? Poor, poor bunny... ::) ;D
Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: Louderdb on May 13, 2008, 05:21 PM I was gonna say "what cha talkin' bout felix? I've been chatin with him lately"....
Glad we got that cleared up! LOL ;) Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: Mister Acrolite on May 13, 2008, 06:59 PM I'm right here, Felix - whassup?
Maybe I should get people caught up. Ahem. Buy cheap major-brand drums; use 42-strand snares; yes, bottom heads DO make a difference; PLAY AN ACROLITE OR DIE; learn to read music; listen to (and play) more than one style of music; and for heaven's sake, take some lessons! There. I believe my work here is done. Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: Chris Whitten on May 13, 2008, 08:51 PM I've got to admit I've missed that no nonsense commentary of late.
:-\ Maybe Felix and I are hanging out in the wrong parts of The Cafe? I admit I've been arguing more about bassists than drummers. :-[ Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: Bob Dias on May 14, 2008, 07:51 AM Buy cheap major-brand drums; use 42-strand snares; yes, bottom heads DO make a difference; PLAY AN ACROLITE OR DIE; learn to read music; listen to (and play) more than one style of music; and for heaven's sake, take some lessons! Al of a sudden I believe I am feeling quite superfluous...what is the point in continuing? Time go play guitar. B. ;) Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: felix on May 14, 2008, 02:34 PM Howdy. Good to hear you are ok and hopefully your cymbals are high and dry.
I have been thinking of you and wondering if the whirling dervish of zoltan technique will ever be handed down to a worthy individual? *Tis a very lofty wish my friends* Yes I have been hanging out in the wrong parts of the cafe as I don't poke my head in here much. I will be visiting my B/O acro in a few weeks at my friends. Maybe he will give it back to me if I beg borrow or steal? I don't think his kid gives it the respect it deserves >:( *little brat* Ya know, that torques me off. But it's good to hear and see you. Long live the Acro! Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: Bob Dias on May 14, 2008, 09:05 PM Mr. A...
I never heard or else I missed the news entirely...how is/was the frozen shoulder? Are the crashes back to flying at full mast? Cheers, Bob Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? There. I believe my work here is done. Only Mr. A could make the Drummer Cafe obsolete with one post. ;D Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: skinbeatergreg on May 31, 2008, 06:47 PM I quit! :)

Post by: Bart Elliott on June 18, 2008, 02:24 PM I bet there wasn't one of these threads in my absence :'( Actually that's not true. :) Keep in mind you're not a moderator like Keith is ... but you ARE missed! Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: Chris Whitten on June 19, 2008, 02:17 AM What he just said.
:) Good to see Gaddabout around too. Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: Chip71 on June 19, 2008, 07:31 AM I'm very happy to see some of the old regulars around. After my problems, today I am putting up a set again and getting back at it. I may walk with a cane, but can still kick butt on a set. ;D
Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: 563 on June 19, 2008, 03:19 PM It was actually really amusing to see I still rank third in post count. Y'all need to get crackin'.
For what it's worth, I wasn't gone for any dramatic reason. Just taking a breather. :) Although I am now drumming in a new band, equally esoteric music and gear as my others though ;D I'll get links and such up eventually. Title: Re: Where is Mr. A? Post by: Gaddabout on June 19, 2008, 04:26 PM Good to see Gaddabout around too. Thanks for the welcome back. Things got really busy here, but also just needed break. Like Mr. A, there are only so many times I can repeat myself before I question what it is I'm bringing to the discussion. |
