Title: percussion cases?
Post by: 563 on March 25, 2003, 01:58 PM
hey all.  any ideas on where to get relatively cheap percussion (hand drum primarily) cases?  I dont need anything airline quality, mostly just for keepin' it nice in the inbetween times and occasional transport.  pretty much all I can find out there is conga and bongo stuff which doesnt work for most of the stuff in my middle eastern collection.

theres this one cat on ebay who goes by the name ethnicinstruments (http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=ethnicinstruments&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=25) who has a few but its pretty inconsistant.

any ideas for stuff like dumbeks, frame drums, zarb, tabla etc?

I am about to order some bags for my congas off of this guy on ebay. He makes them custom and they are cheap. You might want to try him. Seems like people are happy with his work, but looks like it takes 1- 3 weeks to get them sometimes. I emailed him and he told me if I bought them he would have them shipped in a week. May take longer for a more custom order.
