Title: Throne Post by: search64 on May 09, 2002, 11:28 AM Does anybody here have a Roc 'n Soc Nitro Throne? Is it comfortable playing with a throne that goes up and down all the time? (I'm not talking about the motion throne, that's useless for drumming if you ask me). If it is good, what should one cost (without a backrest)?
Title: Re:Throne Post by: felix on May 09, 2002, 01:18 PM They are the best at any cost...I think mine was around 200...I can't remember.
It is very comfortable and is excellent for balance, which is even more important or at least as important as the comfort factor. Title: Re:Throne Post by: BAnimalG on May 09, 2002, 01:32 PM I have the Lunar Series, and it is the most comfortable seat in my house! Hell, I've been known to bring it into the living room and use it instead of the couch! Seriously though, it has done wonders for my back and my stamina! It is amazing how much longer you can go when you are comfortable!!

Cost me about $150. It's worth its weight in Gold !! Best money I spent on my entire Kit. Title: Re:Throne Post by: sidereal on May 10, 2002, 06:55 PM I can't tell you how happy my ass is.

Regardless, tomorrow I'm off to pick up the Roc n' Soc. I use two Gibralter thrones designed after the Roc n' Soc but the rubber feet have been chewed off both stools from overuse. Anyone have that problem with the Roc n' Soc?

The Roc n' Soc has different kind of feet (at least the Lunar Series does). The base on mine looks more like a computer-type chair, w/o wheels. The feet are very sturdy. Title: Re:Throne Post by: felix on May 16, 2002, 07:17 AM No, I have not had that problem
Title: Re:Throne Post by: Peter Jeffery on May 29, 2002, 09:23 PM I was reminded of this thread today. In the studio doing a CD and my producer sends an assistant in to WD-40 my pedals. I went into the booth to check a playback and he plays me the squeeking....which I don't hear at all. Then he isolates my bass drum and there it is. I swear these producers can hear grass growing. Anyway....I had two Gibralter thrones with me -both squeeked. WD-40 didn't help much. Roc n' Soc here I come.
Title: Re:Throne Post by: felix on May 30, 2002, 06:18 AM Yeah, my yamaha throne is a squeaking pig of a throne.
You are gonna love that rock in sock...they use a high quality rubber on the feet by the way. You are gonna love that rock in sock...they use a high quality rubber on the feet by the way. That's good to know -I've actually cut a mic cable here and there with my worn to the metal Gibralter feet. Are you sure your Yamaha throne is squeaking? I think it's more likely that mouse in your pocket. Mind you, I wish I had one. Did you get him in prison? That's just gotta be the #1 best place to befriend mice. Title: Re:Throne Post by: felix on May 31, 2002, 06:38 AM Since I am off medication and cigarettes I see lots of mice...pink fluffy ones...they don't squeak though...they just sort of are there one minute and gone the next.
