Right now, Primus is touring and guess who's back.  That't right Tim Alexander.
Ok.  I've head on this forum of Sean Reinert slightly.  I highly recomend all those obsessed with this guy who has a doctorite in drumming, that you check out the following bands.  You will cream.
the bands: Cynic, Aeon Spoke, Gordian Knot, Aghora, Portal and also check out anything you can with Sean Malone, one of the best basists ever if not the best.  Up there with Otiel Burbridge and Victor Wooten.  Trust me.
