I went to a Bar and asked the band to play a song and they didn't know it. But the lead singer wrote it and and said they would learn it.

Nothing important to say.

See that's just my point....some of those are not standards in the bars I used to play in. The common band seems to be Skynard though. We used to have to play more Eagles and more Bob Segar stuff.

My jokes never seem to go over here at all.... it was a joke, of course there are many other songs that can be included in this "list"...too many...that was my point.

no, your joke worked just fine...  and I was playing along when I said to ask the question "What song is it you wanna hear?"  because that is what Van Zandt says to the crowd off the infamous live version...  then he added "play it pretty for Atlanta"  for the birdie guitar parts   Cheesy

Funny, I both hate and hate that song  Roll Eyes

It may be because it conjures up a vision of a really wasted dude standing in front of the bandstand, barely able to stand up, yelling that song title.  Tongue
