Hi,
I have 2 books, Stick Control and Future Sounds, and i would like to know how to practice and learn to get the most out of these books. Ive been playing for 4 years and i want to develop better technique with my hands and both feet. What is the usual way of going through these books, or are thier different variations that could help me out?

Dave Garibaldi's Future Sounds is pretty self explanatory. Read what he has to say and take his approach to practicing the book.

For George Stone's Stick Control, there are endless ways to apply this book to your playing. First, be able to play the book as written ... not that you have to play the ENTIRE book first ... but that you need to be able to play something as written before applying it differently. Play with your hands, then play the same thing with you feet.

I have an article in my 5-Minute Lessons which explains how to expand the Stick Control book for the drumset; check it out.

I have a lot of my own approaches and study materials for these two books, which I can share with you if you would like to take lessons with me ... in person, or via video correspondence.
