I like them.  I don't really like the sound of 14" hats compared to 13" for some reason.  I think these hi hats sound great, but I haven't read anything about what other people think about them on harmony central or the drummer cafe board.  Does anyone have any other opinions on them?  When I heard these at the store I had to have them.  And they were used too!  =)

OH ...  I love the 13 inch Sabian Fusion Hats ... AA and HH versions. I think they're great and want a pair as well. I can't say I prefer them over a 14 inch pair of hihats; they're just different ... and that's why I like them.

cymbal choice is always a very subjective thing. Myself I loved the sound of these hats and bought them about 8 years ago. They are still rocking on as good as ever, and everyone who plays my kit comments on how much they like the hats. I stay away from 14" now, but that is my choice. Only thing about AA fusion 13" is they are @$%# loud, but you can still get good dynamics from them. Check out Pearl Jam "vs" album to hear how they record.

I recently bought a used pair of 13" AA Fusion hats off of Peter Jeffery (Drummer Cafe member). I really like them. Basically they give me a different sound from my 14" A Zildjian rock hats. Can't get more different than those two Smiley which is nice. The Sabians have much more high-end projection, an intense attack, and a great "chick." The Zildjians are more full and balanced sounding and are a bit more versatile. But I've been using the Sabians more than the Zildjians live these days. (although I just finished a recording session and decided on the Zildjians.)

Bottom line... I like both, and the Fusion hats are definitely a quality choice if you're looking for higher pitched tonality in your hats. btw, the Fusion 13s are Chad Smith's hats, so if you listen to any RHCP tunes, that's the sound.

Yeah Chad Smith uses 14" for anyone who likes his hi hat sound.
