Can anyone scribe the intro to "Teacher", by Jethro Tull?

That is a mean groove.

HH| X - X - X - X - X - X - X - X - |
SD| - - - - X - - - - - - - X - - - |

Hmmm.....

This always confuses me but couldn't the opening groove be counted where the HH is in quarters, bass drum on eighth notes and the snare drum falls on 3 (half time feel?).  Then the following section would still have the HH on quarter notes but the snare would fall on 2 & 4 ?

I thought the snare was on the 3. Could be wrong though...Smiley

I really got into War Child back in the early 80s.

Anybody played anything from that one? Like Skating Away? Bungle in the Jungle, or The Third Hoorah??

That last one's quite a march! "Hoorah!! bum,, duh duh dumm,, ba da da da dum, da dum,,, ba dum,, pa da ta da da da ta da ta dum"
Good one for a marching band...

Sorry,, got carried away..  Roll Eyes

Hollow a log into a drum.
It's the space inside that makes the sound.
