When I get my starclassic kit a while from now, I want to get a cymbal with a fast, cutting sound. Will these do it? Do any of you own these, or one of them, and how do you rate them?

O-Zones are fast and responsive, but have a very unusual sound, more like a china than a regular crash. I wouldn't use them as traditional crashes, but as an effect cymbal.

HHX Evolution crashes are  very fast and reponsive. For more volume, look at AAXplosion Crashes.

Max Stax create a very fast, trashy sound.  Not good for a crash, but good for some interesting grooves and such.

the ozone responds even at the lightest taps and sounds like a china, only smooth and responsive. i like it, but agreeing with the other guys, its not good as a main crash but its sweet and tasty as an effects. starclassics rock, hav fun with it. im actually buying the tama starclassic exotix snare limited edition very soon. you kno, theres only 300 made, i found a good deal and its cool so im gettin it. well hav fun. o and for suggestions on a cymbal that WOULD work good for you is a zildjian zxt titanium crash, either rock or normal, 16" or 14" take your pick, i think its wat yer lookin for. good luck.
