When packing up my gear yesterday, I notice the bottom of the rubber face of the beater was worn at an angle.

In other words, it's not hitting flat against the bd.  I've been playing around with it today and I notice after a few bd hits, it's start to hit at an angle (the bottom of the face).

When I pull the bd closer to me, it does hit completely flat and it stays in the position.  Unfortunately, the legs on my Pearl bd are extended out as far as they can go.

I've been using the quad beater (felt side) of my Eliminator pedal in the past and noticed that the felt was starting to wear out at an angle.

Does anyone have any adjustment suggestions to make the beater hit with the full face?

the beaters for the Iron Cobra have an angle adjustment on them.  I believe Axis does as well.  The IC ones also have a nifty counter weight on them that you can move up or down the shaft to change the feel.

The Puresound Beaters have the angle adjustment & counter weight as well.

I think because of the angle adjustment it "automatically" adjusts itself to how the bd is angled towards the beater.  Is this correct?
