OK, now that the thread is completely hijacked...

Has Yamaha discontinued the Jordan? It's not listed on the "signature snares" page on their web site.

I was going to look up and see if there were any "Steve..." endorsers associated with Yamaha, besides Gadd and Jordan.    Jeep, if it was a black snare drum, it was probably a Gadd.  IIRC, the Jordan is a lighter natural wood finish.

If the Jordan is out of production...I may need to scare up some cash ASAP.  Wink

I don't know. It's easy enough to find at online stores. The best price I've found is at Interstate Music. I'm tempted...

Definitely not a Gadd model.  At first I thought the one I played had more of an off-white finish, but it may have been in the natural maple matte finish.  Sorry, bad memory.  The Robinson model doesn't look quite like the one I played either.

I checked Yamaha's site and didn't see a visual match under their Sig snare drums.  Steve Jordon is still listed as a Yam artist, stating he uses a MSD-1315 14"x6.5" snare drum, which isn't shown in the sig or non-sig snare drums.
