Meinl is now on the list of sites with cymbal samples available. They're not as useful as those on cymbalsonly.com, and not as complete as but perhaps better recorded than those on Sabian's site.

The Byzance line sounds rather lovely to these old ears.

Dang. More options. Just what I needed.  Roll Eyes

Moose-

They are a great line. I recently signed with Meinl, and I love them. I've always been a Paiste Signature guy. Making the switch was not hard for me. Meinl like many companies have come a long way in the past couple of years and have dramatically improved their product. The Byzance ar great, I tried out their new Sound Casters at the NAMM show, they were fantastic. I'm hoping that they will be getting more lines out to the stores for everyone to be able to sample them.

Sadly, they're rather hard to come by retail in the UK. The Meinl site does not list a dealer, none of my favourite shops have anything other than the Headliners (ick!) and Google is proving unforthcoming.

And I just missed a mint Agop Alchemy 16" crash* on eBay UK, too ... went for about UKP43 (about $77).

Bah. Humbug.

* Yes, I like shiny cymbals. Bite me.
