Re: female musicians, I respect the women who play music that expect to be equally responsible in duties such as moving gear, etc, that don't expect special exemption from these responsibilities because they are ladies.  I also respect women who don't market themselves based solely on sex appeal, but rather on their muscianship and talent.

I also respect musicians who create / write their own songs and, yes, play instruments , as opposed to some "musicians" who seem to "make it" these days without paying their dues, playing instruments, or creating their own music.

You know, I've come to think this is actually the consumers' and fans' faults, who are really the ones buying this artists. And there's actually nothing wrong with that I believe.
