I know that this threads pretty much dead, put just as a side note if in this gear situation (not band communication issue!) I would:

1) go to the club and check out the house kit to know what I needed to suppliment with.

2) Offer to help the gtr., bass players carry their equipment knowing that I was getting off lightly with my gear. If playing the gig was still an issue after this offer,  I would have known the problem was more deep rooted then hauling gear.

glad its over and I really enjoyed seeing the people on this forum get their dander up on this one. I could see the emotions in the posts.

thanks for the tip.

i actually did not enjoy the dander; it felt a bit excessive and was mostly uninformed. but everyone has a right to their opinions.

at the end of the day, i am just happy we [the band] resolved the issue. i prefer to 'feel the love' when it comes to my mates and our music.

peace!

I think that's a tad unfair. You gave out some 'facts' and people gave advice based on those facts. It's not the responders fault if you turned out to be the one who was 'uninformed'.

Agreed. Also, as far as I could tell, EVERY message was geared at helping you. You, not your band.

You reached out, and got a lot of heartfelt input in return. Whether you agree with it or not, that input was offered because people cared enough about you to respond.
