I just got done watching Greenday on David Letterman. Great band....But the drummer looked like he was "tripping" on something. He acted like he couldn't wait to get the song done fast enough.... Then he came off the drum risor and fell flat on his face. Is he always like that?   Grin

Trey doeas always seem to have that distracted look while playing.  At least he has every time I have seen them.  He is a great drummer though.

I would have loved to have seen that.  It's just showbizz.  Great band I think.

I think Trey needed more eye-liner. Another one-trick joke...

He always struck me as someone who needs constant attention.  And lots of it.  He tries so hard to be cool, that he isn't.

Tre seems very over the top... DRUM! mag did an interview with hime around 99, he's into doing freaky stuff (swinging a chiken around backstage, if memory serves).

I'd love to catch these guys live. They're energetic and all around great. I rediscovered Dookie some days ago and I realized just how much I like those guys.

Greenday is a total guilty pleasure for me. I watched this "making of" special on FUSE about shooting the video for "American Idiot," and I was shocked - shocked! - at how lucid, intelligent and articulate those guys are.

Plus, I really do adore them for recording a concept album, especially in this environment of disposable singles. They went and recorded a collection of songs that you have to hear back-to-back-to-back and in the right order to really "get" them. Take that, file swappers!

I saw that, the wife and I were cracking up at the faces he was making.  I was suprised he didn't trash his kit at the end of the song, I guess he doesn't do that any more. Great band.
