I agree with Bensoncarlos, but, you may not be ready for those books yet.  Try this: get that "Syncopation" book (I can never remember the entire title or the author).  With a metornome (absolutely mandatory), play the exercises with your left hand while playing a swing pattern on ride, 2 & 4 on HH and 4 on the floor with bass.  I'm talking about the syncopation exercises that begin in the middle of the book.  Then play the exercises with your bass while playing 2 & 4 on snare.  Start off real slow 100 BTM max.  If you practice these patterns for 1/2 hour per day, you will be very pleased in about a month.
