That's exactly why I bought a big truck....If I can't haul my drum gear, or tow a trailer, it's not worth anything to me. I pay at the pump, but other than that I'll probably never own another car. Their useless to me....   Roll Eyes   I had a Buick 4 door at one time. My wife would ride in the back seat with my drums because I had to haul the bass drum in the front seat.   Grin

Be ready for a new direction and new journey.  FWIW I'm very proud of you going against the grain a bit.

I have a four door, 4x4 pick up, but I don't think I would use it for that large kick. After using a 1940 Slingerland kit and going down to the 1974 ludwig, I don't think I'd want to go back up to a giant plus. Think about the location of your mounted toms. I'm having enough trouble getting a throne to sit two or three inches higher so as it is. Think how much higher I'd have to sit for the attack on that kick.

Ive seen alot of 24 players over the years but when i see them using so much muffeling i just think why?, play a 22 wide open if your going to kill that much sound with a huge packing blanket. Ive played 20-22-24-and 26''drums. For years! i was not happy with the (miked) sound of my 24. I think it was TO LOW, all sub lows. My current 22x18 sounds as low as youd ever dream! of live. I always felt like i was stuck in the 80's with my 24. Ill put my 22 up against any 24 out there, honestly.
