don't you hate when you latch onto a tune that you can't get out of your head? you have to sing the whole thing through!

i'm currently looping one that i don't know the title or the artist:

"sunshine go away today
i don't feel much like dancing
some old man he's trying to run my life
i don't know what he's [asking?]"...

how much does it cost?-i'll buy it
the time is all we lost- i'll try it
and he can't even run his own life
i'll be damned if he'll run mine...

sunshine!"

i know the lyrics don't match up to the verses [and they're not all accurate], but that's the general song. who the heck sang it and what's the name? it was around during the 70s.

i always seem to fall back on strange tunes like that. yesterday it was 'silly love songs.'

whatta goon!

Funny story, My brother rented a farm house in Harvard, Mass. This house had a 2 seater outhouse attached and on the backside of the outhouse door was a poster of Edwards siting on a keg of nails with 2 Labs. One day my brother was out mowing the lawn and Edwards showed up and said that he used to live there back in the 70's and that farm house was the shanty he sang about in the other famous Edwards tune " Lay around the shanty momma, and put a good buzz on". My brother was like "No way!" and Jonathan said "yup, in fact when sunshine went gold I hung the gold record on the back of the outhouse door, but when I moved I replaced it with one of the A&M promo posters ( the one that was still hanging there)".  So my brother took him in to show his the poster and when they took it down, you could still see the outline of the Gold record that was hanging there previously underneath the poster!
Then Jonathan told him a story of how he got arrested by the Harvard PD cause he was having a cookout and had no lawn furniture, so he went to the common and stole all the park benches for his party. He said the cops arrested him and took back the benches.
Also..the promo photo of Jon and the 2 dogs was taken out in the barn in the side yard, and the keg of nails he was sitting on in the picture was still there!.
Sorry for the long post but it seemed relevant.

... Jonathan Edwards ... discovered the band Genesis and gave thim their professional start.

Really? Jonathan King generally gets (or at least claims) the credit for that.
