Hi,

I once heard a pattern named "Mozambique" which is a really cool yet easy latin pattern but i cant remember it clearly and coudlnt write it down. I addition, i couldnt find it anywhere on the web.

Is it known with another name? can anyone please write down the chart - i'll really apperciate it!

Thanks!

Check out Tommy Igoe's lessons on www.vicfirth.com as well.

The techniques, though they play an important role in the early stage, should not be too restrictive, complex or mechanical. If we cling to them, we will become bound by their limitation.  Any technique, however worthy and desirable, becomes a disease when the mind is obsessed with it.

Check out Tommy Igoe's lessons on www.vicfirth.com as well.

I thought about linking that too. However, since the DVD has been released, Groove Essentials page on Vic Firth now seems to be a random selection of a dozen or so grooves from the set - so no guarantee the Mozambique is covered at any point in time.

It makes sense, commercially, I guess. And the Igoe DVD is well worth having, in my opinion.
