The Drummer Cafe rocks!

I'm looking for some professional congas. But since I'm way out here in the country I don't get to see some of the better ones.

Has anyone compared Timba vs. Moperc vs. Sol vs. JCR?

Thoughts on sound, build quality, general vibe?

1st, you put a good head on, and tune up even the crappiest of congas and they sound pretty decent.

2nd, I prefer my Mahogony Sols to anything I've ever played.

3rd, of the ones you've mentioned, you can't go wrong.
The JCRs, the Mopercs, and the California series Gon Bops (Sols really) are all hand made by proven experts.

Hollow a log into a drum.
It's the space inside that makes the sound.
