I stumbled across the website of this Oregon-based drum company, it looks like you can get maple drums and hardware pretty cheap here:  http://www.amdrumparts.com/
Does anyone have any experience with these drums or the company?  Just curious...

While I haven't bought any shells or drums from John, I've bought several orders of drum parts for my projects, and he has always been great to deal with - very prompt and professional.  From what I hear over on the Ghostnote.net forums, John's bearing edge work is top-notch, and those who have bought drums from him have been quite satisfied with the end products.  Definitely worth checking into, IMHO.
