first, everybody packs their own gear; sets up their own stuff; tears down their own stuff - mostly because we want it that way.

Then, everybody starts loading their own stuff and who ever gets finished, helps the others.  We almost never run off and leave anybody.

The singers (small females) frequently just watch the gear and the vehicles to make sure nothing gets stolen and that, I consider, to be a huge help!  I don't mind putting all my gear into my van by myself but I hate it when I have to take a load, lock up the van, get another load, unlock, load, lock, rinse and repeat.

The way we look at it, every piece of gear that anybody brings contributes to our show.  We do NOT allow anybody to bring gear that is just for "display" - that's just stupid!
