I've been thinking of picking up Gavin Harrison's Rhythmic Visions Book/DVD and was wondering if anyone has worked on it?
I've done some of his displacement exercises and such and find them fascinating. One thing I'm wondering is if I will end up with a book that will teach me awesome exercises that will be difficult to incorporate into band rehearsal without getting stuff thrown at me!
Secondly, I realize that not everything he has will be able to be used in all situations. I was just wondering in general, has anyone been able to grasp the concepts, and if so has it helped your playing?
