Can we aim a little higher with the level of metaphors, please? This is NOT a guys-only forum.

Thanks.

I just found out most of the recordings I'm on were actually played by Bernard Purdie.

It's not a guys only forum?? Sorry, didn't know that, but I knew I was gonna get in trouble sooner or later with those stupid sexist jokes! But seriously, I don't really remember seeing a post by a member of the opposite sex in this forum in the time I'v spent browsing here. Where are the girls?
Speaking of girls, I saw Marilyn Masur once, in concert with Jan Garbarek. Unusual percussionist cum drummer set up and style of playing, played the kick drum standing up the whole night! But I enjoyed her performance, she was fluid and tasteful.
I think the whole girl drummer thing rocks, for the record. I'm on their side! But somehow, the girl drummer thing hasn't caught on in the same way as the girl wrestler thing, or even the girl boxer thing, hopefully things will change soon. We need more girls in the drumming world! Long Live  Cindy Blackman!

I would trade any yamaha snare of mine in for a craviotto of any kind- period. (Like I would get an even trade).

I think my Yamaha Elvin Jones stands up quite well to my 6.5x14 DW maple Craviotto.
