bummer, man. but good thing you're getting on the right health track.
i'm sure salt isn't a great thing in large quantity, but we do need some. perhaps you had some other predisposition that made you extra sensitive to it?
nonetheless, yes, there are some heinous processed foods out there. frozen entrees are really bad, as are dehydrated foods, like those soups in a cup. even fantastic foods, which positions itself as this earthy-crunchy brand, is loaded with sodium.
i say home-made all the way.
as for overall heart health, i've gone through a littany of tests in recent years, coz some docs said i had a murmur, and others didn't. the latest hi-tech cardiologist guy i visited says i definitely have one. not a big deal, but as i was having chest pains, i got nervous. the pains seem to be more asthma-related, though.
or maybe i'll just become one of those angina victims, clutching my chest all day. then i'll get edema, like in those commercials. then i'll have to buy a med-alert, coz i've fallen and can't get up, and then i'll need a clapper to turn on the lights. oy!
isn't angina just the funniest dang word?
don't mind me. i am very giddy this morning. lack o' sleep.
