I just bought a couple of didj made of gourd by Geoff Frost. One is in the key of E and the other is D#. They are beautifully finished, very light weight, and have the appearance of something out of Dr. Seuss.

The most mind boggling thing though is their sound. The thin shell vibrates actively the whole length of the instrument making for an amazing amount of bass for these relatively high keys. The narrowed top gives good back pressure and excellent rhythmic high end. And they are loud... the E actually makes my eyes blurr from the vibration.

If anyone is interested, google the 'didgeridoo store'. They have pictures of several of Geoff's creations.
