Sound Percussion cymbal stands are underrated.  Music stores use them as cheap  little marketing gimicks to get people in the door.  But, ya know?  They do what they're supposed to do...hold cymbals in place.

Always thought the same about Charlie Watts. Wasn't sure if it was a personal style thing or he just sucks. To me the groove sounds kinda fragmented for some tunes. I think he does that 1&3 patern on hats for "You Start Me Up " and it works for that tho.

Apparently he's a jazz drummer first but every time I see him play I can't see him playing jazz well.

The most brutal drummer I've seen with recognition is Don Henley. Sucks. People will be pissed but all time worst for me is Ringo. Not even garage band worthy IMO.

Charlie Watts........definitly overrated, stops playing the cymbal on "2" and "4".........timing is questionable. Does he fit the band?..sure

My previous post was in ref to this.

This is sorta like comparing the old pong game you could hook to your TV and two players could play ping pong.  A simple block at each side of the game you could move up and down and a white dot that would move across the screen.  Not much of a game by today’s standards but at the time it was an advanced game.  There is no way you can compare it to the computer games of today.  In the same way, Ringo is the drummer who helped bring drumming to the masses.  It is one of those "you had to be there" to appreciate situations.

It is not what you have, it is what you do with what you have that makes the biggest difference in the sound!
