Did anyone attend the show?
If so, give us a synopsis!

I started out first thing at 10 on Saturday, with the goal of scoring cymbals and saying hi to everyone, and getting out while I still had my hearing (and sanity.) It gets very noisy there! Most of the attendees were smarter than I, and had ear plugs. Even so, everyone was shouting and getting hoarse. I was able to scoot in just under 3 hours. Consequently, I don't have any info on the clinics - I left just before the first clinician, Danny Seraphine, started.

All the usual suspects were exhibiting though, with lots of cool vintage and custom gear. Pretty sure I'm not missing anyone: Topham, Fever, Ford, DW (showing off their new 'vintage' (Keller-made) shells), San Francisco Drums, Mayer Bros, Ludwig, Istanbul, Bosphorus, Vaughncraft, Steve Maxwell, Puresound, Joshua Tree Percussion, a combination Gretch/Gibraltar(racks)/Sabian booth hosted by Bob Rupp, West L.A. Music (with Glenn in attendance,) Curry, Solo, Tempus, Symphonic Percussion with very expensive solid shell snares (a la Canopus') and Ronn Dunnett with some sweet snares. Also Square Beat sticks, JP2 Creations, and some collectors with some great kits, parts, snares, and cymbals (I scored 3 including a 20" Paiste Mellow Ride - almost a flat ride - for $100.)

Ran into a bunch of buddies including Gerry Porter ('hazelshould' on eBay) and Mike Curotto.

All in all a good time, and I got a few goodies and still came home with cash!

Glad you had a good time and was able to attend. Out of everyone I knew in the area, I figured you would be there!  Cool

I hope to attend one of these years ... maybe in 2006.

Anyone else attend? Got any stories?

Paul-
Thanks for the update. The drum show sounded like it was cool. Do you have pics to show?
