I haven't bought any Rat Trap drums, but I've dealt with Todd Rathkamp before (I've bought some of his snare drum lugs - a great product, BTW), and he's a great guy who really knows his stuff when it comes to drum building.  I know him from the ghostnote.net and drumshed.org drum builder online forums, where he's an active participant.
