I stopped in my local Guitar Center today and the sales guys were popping in their demo DVD that just came in. Eloy came on and just blew our doors off! We all stood there with our mouths wide open. Even sales people from other departments walked in and just gaped at what they were seeing and hearing.
If you haven't seen him mentioned in MD recently, he's the 14 yr old from Brazil that won the under 18 MD Up and Coming Drummer contest.
With nice looking technique, lightning fast fills, creative grooves, and "El Negro" -like clave going on, it was quite a performance.
Remember his name, he's going to be around for awhile.
I definitely need to get that DVD!
