Here is a snippet of what kind of drum sound I'm "twisting up" in the studio. It's fresh from this weekend's past work. Let me know what you think of my sound? This is mixed thru the muckie so things should be a bit more "sparkly" when I get my new board. I'm using the 12 strand equalizer wires on my snare *Yes I thought they were 16 until I counted them! http://www.woolyinc.com/Sound Files/My death snip.mp3(I only have dial up, so if the first time you try to download doesn't werk, wait about 10 and you should have it- sorry and thanks)

Sounds cool Felix. Love the toms. I was messing around with different mic positions recently, just experimenting with heights and angles and I got sick of playing with just a click. I threw down one of my favorite “drumless†songs to play along with and here’s what it sounded like. Landslide.mp3

Just my little home recording thing. The mic I was messing with was a Marshall 603s overhead.

Thanks dude. Doesn't compare to what you're getting though. What do you have on the toms there?

Ok, I recently created a myspace site just to post songs and clips, so here you are. www.myspace.com/inertia123the first song was a recording of a band rehearsal, it's a song we wrote a few years ago and we were teaching it a new bass player. the recording was done in my basement, using no mics(except vocal). everything was in a small Mackie mixer direct, so yes, these are my home made EDrums on this recording. This is a very rough recording, but it's the only one I have right now of this song, this is my favorite song my band has written. The second track is my little experiment. This is me playing my acoustic kit using 5 mics, a little mixer and Acid 3.0. This is also me playing my new Hamer bass through a Line 6 Bass Pod, both of which I got about a week ago. I haven't played bass in about 7 or 8 years so forgive the shoddy playing, the drumming is not with out it's mistakes either. this is simply a rough recording of the drums and bass to another one of my bands songs. The idea is fo me to do drums and bass and then send the stuff to my guitarist to do the rest.

i did this messing about in my home studio about a year and a half ago using reason and then playing along with it. it was more an exersice in the process than anything else.. untitled snippet no.6this is the demo one of the bands i play in finished a few months ago. indie rock. we're planning on hitting the studio to do our debut album next month. Ghettoblaster.here's a track from another group i was playing with. it gave me a chance to play really quietly which i quite enjoy. lazy river.

If your reffering to Rev.9, yes he is a phenominal vocalist, very wide range. I quit that band for the simple fact I was driving to another state for practice, and touring every weekend and not making money. We had a good fan base from South Carolina up to New York on the east coast, so that may be why it sounds familiar. We got heavy rotation on the metal station in New York, as well as locally here in DC/Maryland/VA area on DC101. They got a new drummer who is a great drummer and a friend of mine and are still going. They are recording some new stuff right now. If you were refering to my new band, unfortunatly he isn't in the band anymore, he had to move to Cali for a job. We got a new guy who has a broder range and is a good songwriter himself, so he has been able to bring a little more to the plate. Our new stuff is even heavier than the old stuff, lol.

I think that all of you are great. Different styles and different music tastes. I really like Felix's first song on this thread. Kind of like what I am into these days. I haven't been on this site long but I have been working all day on a solo with a 4 track digital recorder and two mic's in The Nutty Drummer's Cave. I am going to put it on the web site I am building. I will post the link on here. So many good drummers. This is not going to be as good Q as some of you have displayed as far as recording. Maybe I should put a song on there that is studio? OK I will. Was great to hear your all's music. That is how we talk in KY. Sorry!!! Nutty

Thanks Nutty for the kind words on my work. I for one am really glad you are here.
No one will ever bag on you for being cool and posting sound files or images that are positive and from an honest place.
The guerrilla recordings are best that everyone submits and I'm sure yours are going to be just stellar!!!!

Hey Felix, I have an IT guy putting my web site together. Explain to me about these type of recordings and how do I put my stuff on here? When I got on this web site I contacted Bart to see how to import a wave file to the picture spot. He told me it wasn't capable of that yet, so I started to open a free web site. If you go to my page and click on The Nutty Drummer it will take you to a web page that I started. If you click on the red block that say's add photo, a pic of me doing a two class 25 year reunion is in there. The free site wasn't able to do enough, so I am doing a real nice site now. I hope that I haven't said anything wrong here? Yesterday I wrote a message and now Mr. A's Pic is here twice. I listened to all the material that was here and I never said a negative word about any of it in fact, I enjoyed most of it. I just singled your stuff out because it really reminds me of some of the styles that I am working on. I am playing with a group on Sunday night that play's mostly Joe Satriani and My friends originals. That beat you were playing reminded me of some of the Satriani stuff that I am doing. Rubina, Cryin', Crush of Love, Hordes Of Locust, Always with Me Always with you, and Echo which is 4/5 time. The Quality of your material sounded like it was recorded in a real good studio. Was it a home recording or done some where else? Nutty
