http://www.drummingweb.com/.
Check this out? I have never had any lessons and I don't read drum music so a drummer friend I talked to while playing out last night hooked me up with this link.  Some good info here.

I went there and got nothing but the page (to my knowledge, anyway).

Of course, I'm also using Mozilla Firefox 1.5 with AdBlock and NoScript, as well as four anti-spyware programs (with three running in realtime), as well as a large hosts file with help from said programs.  I suggest you all try the same or similar. Smiley

I've been there before though, years ago.  It did help me out at the beginning.

I am not really sure what is going on with all this.  I am running
an anti virius program, Firewall, Two anti Spyware programs and my Pop Up blocker on medium.  I don't have any problems with pop ups and I can access the site no problem.  I have looked at the site and it probably is OK for beginners.  After playing the other night this drummer came to me and said you are really good at Rudiments and since I have never had a lesson in 36 years of playing I told him I really didn't know what a rudiment was.  He hooked me up with this site and said maybe I can get something out of it.  I am sorry if it has caused any computer problems.  I have not had any trouble with it.  I also am not sure that knowing what a rudiment is is going to help my playing.
I play by ear.

It's really not your fault at all.  The Internet is a true pile of crap in places, places that are all-too-often deceptive.

That said, I've found Vic Firth's website to be absolutely indispensible when it comes to education.  The sticks and brushes aren't bad either. Smiley

Also, drum notation is the easiest notation to learn, IMHO.  (I would scale it at drum-bass-guitar-piano-organ with regard to rhythm instruments.)

I agree with you on the sticks.  I only play Vic Firth's 7AN's.
I will E-mail you something Joe that I worked up last Thursday.
Then tell me if you think I need to know what a Rudiment is?

Ah yes... I remember that website. Some good information, I looked at it a lot a year or two ago, printed off some of the stuff as well. It's a shame it's not updated more often - I really liked that guy's lessons.
