Alright, I really want a Paiste Signauture Dry Dark 22" ride. They have discontinued the Dry Dark rides and i dont believe even made a 22" version. I have e-mail Paiste a countless number of times and have not recieved a response. I have never custom ordered a cymbal and understand that paiste charges retail + 30%. I'm wondering how i should go about ordering this cymbal, if paiste even custom makes discontinued cymbals, if you think that they would actually charge the "Suggested Retail" plus the 30%, if i would have to go through a local shop, if going through a shop would be cheaper... Any ideas, comments, thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Call them.   I've had the occasional problem getting through to various companies because of spam filters at their end and once in a great while my spam filters get too aggressive and I don't notice a response coming my way...or maybe their drone who's supposed to check the email account you used is sick/on-leave/ignorant.

I think the 22" would be a custom plate, but if you call them at least you could talk to someone and can find out what's going on. (They might even be wondering why they don't get any emails. Wink)  I wouldn't think a special order cymbal would be cheaper going through a shop (since they'd want a cut of the action), but once you get a real price from Paiste you could find out.
