Has anyone else overcome this to drum? My parents were told I'd never play an instrument so they never pushed it upon me, so I came to drumming later than I might have. Has anyone else had this difficulty?

Dyspraxia- A problem with the body's system of motion that interferes with a person's ability to make a controlled or coordinated physical response to a given situation.
If you are playing drums then keep it up. It can't do anything but help with coordination. I think you are going to be another super star story.
There are some incredible stories on here about walls people have over come. If I remember right Junglelord had a bad accident that injured him like Chris Reeves, the guy that
played SuperMan. He is a Peart Fan and plays Rush music. Complete determinantion on his part to still play drums.
I am hearing the same determination from you. I think it is awesome.
