 | | This album, recorded back in 1998, features myself on drums & percussion in a jazz trio setting. All of the arrangements are based on sacred Christmas songs, with the majority of the tunes being instrumentals, while several feature some vocals or solo piano.
The entire album is from first or second takes, with piano, bass and drums recorded simultaneously on the same sound stage. I used my vintage GRETSCH (c.1968) Progressive Jazz kit and Sabian HH cymbals for the entire album, as well as LP Congas, Bongos and assorted percussion toys ... including sleigh bells of course.
