I bought drums from Donoho (the guy's name is Donoho Meador), and I like the sound.  They're easy to tune, and have a nice full tone.  That's the upside.  The downside is that Donoho is no longer in business.  If you want to match a drum you already have, you can't just call him up or order from a catalog.  And I haven't thought about selling mine (a 20 x 16 bass, and a 12 x 9 tom), but "custom" drums might be a little dicey when the maker's no longer in business.
    Oh, yeah, one other thing: he built them to a price point, so he used fairly inexpensive hardware.  Not an issue to me, but if you want die cast bass drum claws, this ain't it.
    Personally, I like the drums, and they were an excellent value.
