for christmas im gettin some new hi hats for my tama swingstar.  I have picked out 2 that i like, plz tell me your opinions on which are better or if u know any other hi hats for around the same price i should get, i dont wanna spend more then like 160 though.

1. Zildjian ZXT Rock Hi-Hat Cymbal Pair

which do you prefer the sound of?   because those would be the best ones for you.  why? because you like the sound of 'em better.

any local guitar center or some such place should have some of those around to listen to.

technically they are pretty similar.  both sheet B8 alloy bronze, both machine hammered.

My opinion I like the AAX 13" Fusion Hats and their $150, and if you buy Sabian Cymbals buy them from Midwestpercussion.com you will get them the cheaps of any sortes on the web I think

i'm not the first, and i probably won't be the last to say this...find them at your local store, or find someone that has them, and play them both.  then go with what your ears tell you.  It's all about what sounds good to you as the drums are your form of "musical voice".  go with the sound that you feel helps you to better express yourself.

I use "14 Zildjian New Beat Hats...I absolutely love these hats, best hats out there for the money. They go for about $199.99. I know they're spendy but they're real nice.
