Old pics but they work for now I guess!

Specs:
Pacific CX Drums, White Onyx finish (I'd put the sizes but they are pretty standard)
Joey Jordison Signature Snare
Yamaha Flying Dragon Direct Drive Double Bass Pedal
Mainly Yamaha Hardware
Aquirian Heads
Meinl Cymbals, pictures show 14" amun power hithats, 20" amun big bell ride, 16" amun china, 8" classic powerfull bell, 17" Sabian crash, dont remember the model. But I actually use a 18" amun medium crash and a 18" amun powerfull crash

Here´s an old picture of my precious metalset:

Tama Rockstar Custom EFX
Finish: "Rock Chrome"
Tomtoms: 10", 12", 13", 16", 18"
Bassdrums: 22"x20"
Snare: 14"x5½

Meinl Byzance 14" hi-hats
Meinl Byzance 20" China
Meinl Byzance 18" Crash
Sabian 22" XS Rock Ride
Sabian 18" XS Rock Crash
Sabian 18" XS Rock China
Sabian 16" AAX Studio Crash

2x Tama Iron Cobra pedals, that can be switched into one twinpedal..

I use "Evans G2 Clear" as batterheads on all toms and "Evans G1 Clear" as resonance. On the snare I use "Evans Power Center Reversed Dot" and on the bass drums I have "Evans EQ3" as batterhead.

The picture was taken at chrismas time a couple of years ago!  Wink

Anyway, I´ve had this kit for 3 years now I think and I´m still very pleased with it, it´s perfect for metaldrumming. And I still LOVE the finish! It´s awesome to play death/trashmetal on a pimped up kit like this!

I've created a gallery on my site of my vintage equipment, along with several friend's vintage equipment. The gallery is at http://www.mikejamesjazz.com/vintage_gallery.html

If you enjoy the sound and/or look of the older Slingerland, Rogers, Ludwig, etc. kits, check it out.

I've posted pictures of my other kits in this configuration in other threads, but I've not posted pictures of this particular set before.  I think it's unique enough to warrant a look!   Grin

Drums: Tama Starclassic Performer (birch shells) in Silver Sparkle
Bass Drum = 22"
Snare Drum = 14" X 5" Tama Oak
Toms (in order from L to R) = 14", 10", 12", 16"

Cymbals:  Paiste and custom modified Paistes.
All cymbal modifications were done by DC member JohanVDS.
From L to R:
17" Paiste Prototype crash (Dark Energy)
18" JohanVDS Radial Trash (notice the ridges in the cymbal extending out from the bell)
14" Paiste 404 hi hats (super thin... 600g top and 709g bottom)
20" JohanVDS Ripple Trash (looks like a giant sound edge bottom hi hat)
17" JohanVDS Dark Crash

Obviously I have them set up differently than a "traditional" kit.  This is a direct rip-off of Bill Bruford's kit.  It's also inspired by Dony Wynn, DC member chefdoug and DC founder Bart Elliott, whose threads about remote hi hats gave me courage from afar to take the plunge.

Hey Bart, all

Paul Marshall here owner & sensei at www.Drumdojo.com

I play a spiritdrums drumset (one of 12 ever made) and recently put together a couple of sites - one specifically on spiritdrums that oozes beautiful images, even if I say so myself. http://www.spiritdrummers.com. The other is www.tunadrum.com a drumset tuning site that forms the basis of the wikipedia drumset tuning entry (for now as I am revising it) This also includes lots of lovely photos of my Spiritdrums drum set which is now 7 years old, serial #3 and looks better every day as the wood cures. (The Masters Custom gets some shots too)

The site is intended for those interested in spiritdrums particularly but I would like to extend over time to look at solid shell drums. I am trying to track down any fellow spiritdrummers, kits, snares djembes and would ask anyone to drop me a line: whatever you like [at] drumdojo [dot] com

Many thanks and sorry for doing a little exposure for spiritdrummers, we are few, far between and hard to find - the search continues.

Love the Zebra fur - gives me loads of ideas :)

Paul
