The local shop took and old 73 Premier 4 piece in trade. They're offering them for $399. The wrap looks pretty beat up, but the drums themselves looked in good shape upon inspection. The shop put new heads on them and said they had no problem seating them. They sounded pretty good struck with a stick. I'm curious if anyone knows how many lines of drums Premier made and if that era of Premier was of any value.

13", 14", 16" toms, 20" bass. One bass drum hoop is not original. Also comes with a metal snare that looks about as generic as one can get. Probably aluminum, no badges, no serial numbers. The bass and toms have serial numbers and it definitely looks like right out of the Keith Moon/early 70s era, so I don't suspect a knockoff.

Anyone have a guess at their value?

If the 14 and 16 are floor toms I'd go with it if I liked it.

Personally I hate 20" bass drums, especially with those large sizes I'd want a 22.

I would hold out personally.

Keep saying "NO" until the "one" comes around that defies reason.

BTW I'm not buying the sonor kit in Chicago.  I just said NO!  I am not worthy.

Plus you could get a Sonor Phonic kit for that price with those sizes.  Those are just insane sounding, and I love Premiers.  If you could find a kit in those sizes you would be EXTREMELY happy.  The 9 ply shells sound great cranked for jazz too.  Try to find the smaller sizes- these are heavy tubs.

Based on some inspection, it appears to be a Premier 303 Gigmaker, formerly distributed by Selmer. If I've gathered enough info from collectors, they're worth about $650 in mint condition with all original parts. This one's been through some rough times, so I won't bother with them. The configuration of Keith Moon's kit from the era is almost exactly like the one for sale at the store, only his kit was a different model:
