Yeah, I just looked on the PDP sight, and saw that they just came out with a new B.O.A single/double bass pedal, AND the X7 set with hybrid hardwood?  Never heard that type of wood before, unless it's like those Yamaha basswood/mahogany mixes.

DW Pacific B.O.A single/double bass pedal

Yeah for those who don't know, this pedal uses no type of  strap... no chain, no felt, no rubber, no nuthin, it is said that the pedal itself is the "strap" or sumthin like that.  The pedal is made of rubber I think and they said it helps with the chain reaction because the process is much shorter than a normal pedal.

go to http://pacificdrums.com/BOA/BOA.htm for more info on that.

And if anyone by any luck got their hands on one please tell me if it's worth the money, and from what I saw, this thing cost as much as a DW 7000 double bass @.@, and I thought PDP was supposed to be cheap!

DW Pacific new X7 drum set

I found out about this when I was looking around for a add-on for my set on ebay when I came over something about a new 7 piece X7 drum set for only $949.  I thought it was one of those rip offs that are lies and just eat your money.  Though, when I went on the site, I actually found out that THEY REALLY ARE available.  On ebay it comes with FIVE! YES FIVE! toms.  Including both the 8" and 16" tom add-on, in a black sparkle fade, and a 8.125 hardware set! It's sooooo nice, and that's the best deal you could ever get on a set of drums if you ask me.  Then when I went on the site again to look up the specs, I found out it was made of hybrid hardwood, which spooked me a bit because who knows what that sounds like.  Though I am very anxious to find out its tone.

If anyone ever gets an experience with one of thes babes, please give me a heads up.

This is also on the site, just click on the link on the update list on the right side on te homepage or on the B.O.A bass pedal page just click the link on the left.

Thanks a lot, and I'm lookin forward to findin out more on these, especially the B.O.A bass pedal, that, I want to see.

I've tried the BOA bass drum pedal. It's interesting and not at all as you describe. I suggest you look on YouTube as mentioned by Michael.

I also don't think the pedal is built to be cheap. It's just different and I'm not sure it's for me, but I'll probably give it another go.
