Hi,

Somedays after a really intense practice I'll notice a really annoying sort of ache in a muscle, usually my biceps, not a normal straining sort of feeling either. My ex said it was from a buildup of lactic acid from exercising. Could this be from stopping too suddenly? Is there an effective way to avoid this?

If this continues you probably should see a doctor. Watch out for biceps tendonitis!!

Sounds like lactic acid build up to me as well. (if) this is the case you can go to GNC to get supplements used by weight trainers (bodybuilders) that help decrease the symptoms of lactic acid build up and help muscle recuperation time. If you have intense practice sessions like this often you can give this a try.
