Hey guys...I know I rarely contribute as a member here and I apologize, and more so for dumping more youtube bandwidth here, but I thought I'd shamelessly post a couple video clips from a concert I worked this week.

This was a performance billed under the pianist's name.  We were playing his compositions.  The first clip is just a vamp/harmonic figure he gave us before the gig to improvise on.  Still just a simple 32 bar thing. So, we do take a few liberties.
Second (and third) clip...part one and two...are of a tune that the pianist composed for a friend who passed away.
Anyway, we had some fun.

"X-Set" (a last-minute improvised piece):

"Yours Truly" Part 1 :

 "Yours Truly" Part 2 :

Thanks for watching!  Smiley

p.s. if you're really geeky, you can go to the youtube page for each video and click the "watch in high quality" link and watch it without so much compression.

I've had some free time this year, and just started back up playing.
Here's one thing I made:

I basically have been soloing to a click, finding some ideas that I like, then run with them and sort of arrange them and then I put weird ambient sounds over them.

The other things I did, which were much less rhythmically boring, but will make South Park fans really are these:

And Towelie:

I had a lot of fun making them, and it can be a little humbling to hear yourself play fills badly that you thought you could play well.  Smiley

Felix, I'm sorry you feel that way. You make a good point. You're right, I don't post enough here, making impressions look any number of ways. That's my problem to correct and no one else's.

Have a good day.

FWIW, I think your clips were fantastic!  Also, I think you responded to the criticism & subsequent attacks with maturity, humility and respect.

I was just as bewildered as you were to read CW's reply to your West Side Story solos.  Just seemed like a strange criticism (for this thread inparticular).  Of course everyone has a right to their opinions, but everyone has a right to respond to said opinions.  Your responses didn't come across as being arrogant to me in the slightest.  I'll be watching your vids over and over again.
