Been wanting to get into Afro-cuban drumming? Now is your chance. Come by Drummers collective in New York City, on the 26th of July and participate in this master class. We will be focusing on getting started in the world of Afro-cuban drumming. For the Drumset player, this type of drumming is one of the most challenging and rewarding. It requires lots of love and dedication to the music. Finding the right information is not always easy. Especially for the Western musician. With the right people around you, your journey into Latin Music will be a wonderful journey and not a constant struggle.

My books have allowed me the opportunity to reach thousands of drummers students and professionals alike, with enthusiastic response. As a clinician, I taught and performed at the most prestigious drum institutions and venues:

• ACM Guilford - Guildford / London, England
• LCCM / London Centre of Contemporary Music
• Drumtech - London, England
• Drummers Collective - New York, USA.
• Meinl Drum Festival - Gutenstetten, Germany
• The Music Institute, London
• Drummers Focus - Munich Germany
• Masstricht conservatory - Netherlands
• Rigas Ritmi Music Festival - Riga, Latvia.
• 10th, 11th, and 12th Annual Drummers meeting - Salzgitter, Germany
• Arnhem Conservatory - Netherlands
• The Las Vegas Percussion Camp/UNLV - USA
• Drums Only with Vinnie Colaiuta in shorndorf, Germany
• Ed Thigpen and Steve Houghton - at WND Jazz Spezial
• Drummers Institute - Dusseldorf Germany
• Escola Civica - Milan, Italy
• Guitar Center - U.S. circuit - Featured
• M.U.G. Music House - Gothenburg, Sweden
• Zurich Latin Music - Zurich, Switzerland...as well as many
others in Austria, France, Spain and South America

I hope to see you @ the Collective. For tickets call 212- 727- 8412

Hi Phil, thanks for stopping by and letting us know!  I'd suggest contacting Bart directly to see how he would like to handle it.  In the meantime, I'd suggest going to the "Shameless Self Promotion" page and starting there.

I hope you will be able to visit from time-to-time.  I think I can speak for the community by saying your input would be greatly appreciated!

Best of luck on your clinic!  I hope some members can attend!

heya-

just a heads-up to let the cafe know that this was a GREAT clinic. very comprehensive. it's more than clear that phil has done his homework, and more importantly, understands the deeper spirit behind the music.

I'll write-up a more detailed review when I come up for air at work.

c'MON vacation!!!!
