Jojo Mayer - Secret Weapons for the Modern Drummer
Due to be released in July 2007 ... here's a sneak peek for you!

http://www.drummercafe.com/media/videos/Mayer_trailer.swf

I'm very excited about this DVD! I personally think it's going to be the most sought after instructional videos around for a very, very long time.

Be watching for more video clips right here at the Drummer Cafe!

I'm new here, and have been on the sidelines as a listener mostly, but with my recent purchase of a drum set, (and the discovery of this forum--let's see, um 16 hours and 13 minutes and counting . . . ) I am excited by this video and by what I have been reading here. This seems like a great time to be learning the drums.

I hope this video will be good for beginners. 3 hours including very detailed illustrations and examples of the rudiments and stick work and hand position.

This may be just what I have been looking for!

I can't wait for this video. I love what he does with NERVE, and his technique is mind-blowing. I was just watching a http://www.youtube.com/v/IALkXnv36ow about his Prohibited Beatz parties - I encourage any fans of improvised music to give it a watch.

Wow. I'm going to have to get it.
Looks packed with information - and fun.

They really hit it out of the park with that trailer. What a great job.

I like all the scenes of him playing on the small - very cool - kit outdoors.

Cool

Great trailer! Seldom do I enjoy watching an ad for an instructional video and this one was an exception.

I'm skeptical towards instructional DVDs and such, but I must admit I became very interested. If I'm able to get it in July ou August , I just might. Specially with your recommendations.

Rob Wallis (Hudson Music) sent me a copy to review, so I'll let you know very soon. I bet there are other members here at the Cafe who own the DVD.

I ordered one locally and ill pick it up sunday. I was skeptical about another technique video but there was SO much excitement over it i had to get it. Im having problems with Chapins moeller technique as well as Weckl's double stroke stroke and pull method explained on one of his videos. Im hoping JoJo can shed some more light on this.
