Check out the Northern States Marching Band Championship at Giants Stadium on November 9th and the National Marching Band Championship at M&T Bank Stadium on November 16th. My school (West Windsor - Plainsboro High School South) will be performing at both.

So if your into marching bands and happen to be in the area, I'll be the tall snare drummer in the poofy hat  Grin. Some of the bands are really amazing...ours isn't bad either  Wink

The one at Giants Stadium starts at 5:30, and we're performing first I believe.
The one at M&T Band Stadium starts at 5, but we're scheduled for 9.

Off topic...but

Is your high school the one on Princeton/Hightstown Rd. (571)?
I drive past that school everyday on my way to work (Princeton U.) and always get hung up at that light by the school, drives me crazy.
Good luck with the gig. Smiley

Thought I'd share that we just won State Championships last night (Group 2 Open). I'm really pumped. Everything went really relaxed and we swept in all categories except best music...most importantly we won best percussion though  Grin  All-States next week...can't wait.

We ended up in 5th at northern states (out of 11), which I guess isn't too bad, but we all felt we did much better. All the judges comments were positives, but they still ranked us low  Huh The scores were all really close though (.6 point between us and first)....we all feel pretty cheated though  Undecided

Mongrel - Shawnee's show was really great...I didn't notice how they ranked though.

Six tenths of a point out of first place is very good.  Congratulations again.  You are not only gaining experience playing but building memories that will last the rest of your life.
