Just to clarify differences on the Tama Hi-Hat stands.  The Velo Glide is direct drive i.e. 1:1 ratio.  The cymbal moves the same distance as you move the foot board.  The lever glide is 2:1.  The cymbal moves half as far as you move the foot board.  If you want a steady chink the Velo could be a better choice but if you also want finesse the lever glide may be better suited.  Both are excellent stands and work well.
