I'm looking for 4 mm and 5 mm polyester rope in tasty colors / patterns to rebuild some African drums (djembe, bougarabou).

What's a good online source?

P.S. Would also like to find some authentic fabric to wrap the rings.

Thanks!

I don't know about on-line.  I always get my nylon cord from a local outdoor sporting store in their climbing department.

I have no idea if you have a place like that near you, but it might be worth looking around.  I buy the cord by the foot, any amount I need.  They also come in an assortment of colors.

Yes, I'd like to buy local, but there's just no place around here that carries the right stuff.
